The Power of Asking
You’ll never know what’s possible if you never ask.
There is tremendous power in speaking up for what you want. Yet too often, our inner dialogue holds us back. We convince ourselves that we might be rejected, judged, or seen as demanding. These thoughts can keep us small—but many of them are simply stories we’ve created in our minds, not facts.
The people who live meaningful, fulfilling lives understand the value of asking. They ask for the support they need at work, the understanding they seek at home, and the opportunities that can help their businesses grow. They ask for a better table at their favorite restaurant or a better seat at a sold-out concert.
They know that asking is a skill—and like any skill, it becomes easier with practice. The more often you ask, the more confident and comfortable you become.
And when you ask more, you create more opportunities to receive a “yes.”
Success is often a numbers game. The more doors you knock on, the more likely one will open. Nothing changes until you take action, and nothing happens until you ask.
People are not mind readers. They may not know what matters to you, what you need, or what you hope to achieve. But when you communicate clearly, respectfully, and with confidence, they just might say yes.
So ask for what you want. Ask for what you need. Ask for the chance, the opportunity, the support, or the next step.
You’ll never know what’s possible until you try.
